Hej we are a little (45 households) food coop trying out foodsoft.
Currently, we host it (latest version) on our own server, but have no expertise in using it. We are already customers at Terra (using excel 
) and would love to switch to Foodsoft.
Where can I learn more about how to add Terra with an automatic catalogue update? Are there any tutorials or help resources?

Hi, for information on shared suppliers, please see this wiki article. If you’re using the global Foodsoft hosting at app.foodcoops.net, then I think Terra would be among the shared suppliers present. I’m not familiar with the German suppliers (I vaguely remember that there could be different prices, depending on some factors, for a specific supplier), so don’t have information there. If you’re running your own installation of Foodsoft, then you’d need to setup sharedlists as well for this to work, and connect it to Terra.

Terra makes its catalog available via FTP. First you have to contact them and ask for a FTP account.
The Foodsoft itself can’t import the catalig automatically. You need SharedLists as a middleware. This piece of software regularly checks the FTP server for new files and them imports them in it’s own database. You can setup your Foodsoft to be able to access SharedLists database.
You’ll find instructions how to setup ShareLists and your Foodsoft in the README file.
Please note that there is a new Foodsoft version in the making which makes SharedLists obsolete.
