Hi, I’m in contact with a Dutch foodcoop starting up, that uses the global hosting. They are using the Odin (formerly Nieuwe Band) shared database, and I would like to check if the assortment is updated properly every week. Does anyone use this shared supplier and/or is there someone from the hosting team that can check if this is being updated weekly in sharedlists?
p.s. I’m not really sure where the best place is to ask these questions. I think it is useful to have this in the forum (instead of support, where only the support team can read it). Does it make sense to have a global hosting category, or do we think it doesn’t really belong on this forum?
We use Odin and I am afraid it does not work properly. The foodsoft developers have fixed some issues, but there is still a problem with numbers not being correctly recognized which makes the synchronization unusable.
Thanks for the feedback! I’ve used it successfully for years with Nieuwe Band. I’m curious what is going wrong here, and will have a look. Could you explain a bit more what is going wrong (or point to an issue)?
I’ve tried uploading the Odin ZIP file to sharedlists on development, and that seemed to work fine. Not really sure if updating with a new ZIP works as meant to be (new records created instead of updating existing ones), but the end-result looks like it would work from within Foodsoft (which looks up by number).
Can anyone tell me exactly what is going wrong here? That would help me to find the issue, and hopefully a solution. E.g. a list of steps you take, what you’d expect, and what you see (ideally with a screenshot). Or a screencast.
Yes, we order from Odin. Importing products works. We have to check the prices each time at delivery, using the packing slip. That takes quite some extra time, but OK.
We are in Haarlem and order once a month.
